Barca's Copa Del Rey winning streak comes to an end

Valencia beat the Spanish champions 2-1 in Seville

Valencia beat Barcelona to win the Copa Del Rey in the Estadio Benito Villamarín in Seville.

First-half goals from Kevin Gameiro and Rodrigo gave Valencia a two-goal cushion at the break.

A second-half strike from Lionel Messi turned out to be just a consolation for the Catalan side, winners of the competition a record 30 times.

Goncalo Guedes missed a gilt-edged chance in stoppage-time for Valencia but they held on to win their first major trophy since last lifting the Cup in 2008.
