Two relegated Premier League sides see their managers leave

Both Stoke City and Swansea City have decided it is time to make a change after their relegation to the Championship.

Swansea City parted company with manager Carlos Carvalhal and Paul Lambert left Stoke City earlier today.

Stoke ended a decade in the Premier League with a win at Swansea on Sunday, that sealed the fate of the Welsh side.

A statement from Stoke City said.

"Whilst he was unable to guide us to safety, it certainly wasn't due to a lack of effort, professionalism and dedication."

Meanwhile Carvalhal left after saying he wanted to discuss his future at the club but chairman Huw Jenkins said "it was in the interest of both parties to move in a new direction."
