Two teenagers stabbed in North London

Two teenagers have been stabbed in Islington and remain in hospital.

Police were called at around 17:35hrs on Monday, 6 May, to a stabbing on Fairbridge Road, N19.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a male, thought to be aged 17 years old [Victim 1], suffering from stab injuries.

Around ten minutes later, a second teenager [Victim 2] was found suffering stab injuries on Sussex Close, N19. The male – believed to be aged 18 years old – was also taken to hospital.

Victim 1’s condition is now described as serious but stable; Victim 2’s injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening.

Enquiries are underway, led by detectives from the Central North Command Unit, to establish the full circumstances. At present, both stabbings are being treated as linked.
