Test to allow doctors to determine best breast cancer treatment

A breast cancer test has been developed to determine the best treatment for breast cancer patients.

Scientists at Queen Mary University of London have developed the test, according to a study published in Breast Cancer Research and Treatment.

The research finds that the EndoPredict (Myriad Genetics) test can assess whether chemotherapy would be the best course of action for a patient, as those with a high risk of metastasis would be directed to chemotherapy whereas those with lower risk would be able to opt out of the treatment.
