Ross from Friends thief caught
Metropolitan police confirmed that they had caught a man whose CCTV image went viral, when people pointed out he looked like David Schwimmer.
The man was caught on video stealing beer from a shop in Blackpool.
Unluckily for him, his image went viral, when police posted a CCTV capture of him committing the crime.
The internet was quick to point out that the man in the photo looked a lot like Ross Geller from Friends.
Police had to go so far as to confirm that David Schwimmer, the actor who played him, was in America at the time.
Schwimmer posted a video parodying the incident on his Twitter account.
Officers have now thanked him, and the public, for their help in catching the man.
