New research published in Addiction journal finds that one in five inpatients in UK hospitals use alcohol 'harmfully'.

One in 10 are alcohol dependent.

Researchers are calling for universal screening in hospitals for alcohol dependency, and state that there are not enough services for patients to get alcohol dependency treatment in hospitals.
