Number of lonely men predicted to increase

There are calls for more attention to be drawn to the increasing number of older men who are experiencing loneliness.

According to the report, the number of lonely older men is set to reach two million by 2025-2026.

But the issue, which the report attributes to the death of a partner, retirement or relocation, can be tackled by a shake-up of adult social care services to include this demographic more specifically.
