Minimum age to play the National Lottery could be increased

Players currently must be 16 or over

The Government are launching a consultation which may see the minimum age of 18.

Culture Minister Mims Davies has announced plans which is designed to cut gambling addiction.

Figures show that around half of UK adults play the lottery or buy a scratchcard at least once a year.
