Football coach Bennell convicted of dozens of child abuse offences
A jury has convicted former professional football coach Barry Bennell of dozens of child sex offences.
He was found guilty on 36 counts of child abuse including indecent assualt and rape after grooming and abusing young players between 1979 and 1991.
The 64-year-old appeared via video link at Liverpool Crown Court having already pleady guilty to seven earlier offences.
The jury will deliberate and give their verdicts on seven further charges on Wednesday.
