Explosions at South Wales steel plant injure two

Two people were hurt following an explosion at TATA Steel in Port Talbot- people have been urged to keep away from the area as investigations begin into the cause of it.

The company said all staff had been accounted for following the incident.

Reports were made at around 3 o'clock in the morning- pictures on social media showed large flames.

Its thought the explosion originated on a train that was carrying molten material to the plant.

Flames were quickly brought under control and two people treated for minor injuries.

Police say there is no need for concern over the hazerdous effects of any materials on the train- put people have been urged to keep away.
