England down Argentina to secure Rugby World cup quarter-final spot.

England have clinched a place in the knock-out phase of the Rugby World cup after a convincing win over Argentina.

Eddie Jones' side ran in six tries to condemn the Pumas to a 39-10 defeat, meaning Argentina cannot advance from the group stage.

May, Daly, Youngs, Ford, Nowell and Cowan-Dickie all crossed the whitewash as England made certain of a place in the last eight.

They face France in their last Pool 'C' game next Saturday.

Hosts Japan are a step closer to the quarter finals after beating Samoa, while Australia beat a tricky Uruguay outfit to advance their claims for a quarter-finals spot.
