Fernando Alonso misses out on the Indy 500

He was 34th out of 36 cars - Top 33 only go forward to next Sunday's race.

Fernando Alonso has missed out on a place in the 103rd Indianapolis 500 which takes place next Sunday.

As part of Bump Day, 6 drivers were competing for the final row of the grid.

Sage Karam, James Hinchcliffe and Kyle Kaiser are the 3 drivers that will take the final places to compete for the Borg-Warner Trophy.

Kaiser achieved an average speed of 227.372mph over the 4 lap run, Alonso only achieved 227.353mph.
