UNISON reveals cuts to youth services

UNISON has published figures which finds that the £13.3m cut from youth services in the past three years.

It has led to the loss of over 4,500 youth work jobs and over 760 youth centres since 2012.

Only 53% of youth workers believe their council is delivering quality services, with 74% of workers saying they don't feel secure in their job. UNISON is calling for fair and proper funding for youth services and making it a statutory duty for councils to provide youth services.
