More people taking time off work for mental health issues

Almost 30% of businesses have seen an increase in the number of staff taking time off for mental health reasons.

A new survey by the British Chambers of Commerce and Aviva insurance suggests the topic is becoming 'less taboo' for both employees and employers.

The survey notes that employers are supporting staff with mental health issues in a number of areas, including the reviewing of workloads, flexible working options, and arranging counselling.
