Chris Hughes has said that it is time for Facebook Inc to be broken up.
The tech giant owns WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram with one billion users each worldwide.
Facebook has more than two billion users across the globe.
Hughes co-founded Facebook with Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz, but he left the company in 2007.
Other leading voices have also called for a shake up in the company, including Senator Elizabeth Warren who is a Democratic presidential candidate in the 2020 election.
