Rugby League

UK based news provider Radio News Hub has teamed up with Forty20Live to produce a series of weekly Rugby League show for client stations.

The subscription service will look back at all of the action from the weekend – plus a look ahead to the up coming round of fixtures.

Fronted by Editor of Forty20 Magazine, Phil Caplan as well as broadcasters Richard Shaw-Wright and Mark Wilson – the team will be joined by joint record cap holder for Great Britain, Garry Schofield, who is also a member of the RL Hall of Fame.

Richard Shaw-Wright from Forty20 Live said: “This is a great opportunity for stations to take a new product from an established source. Our main show has been on air for nearly four years now. The whole team brings together the experience of playing at the highest level, as well as in the broadcasting and writing fields.”

Garry Schofield – who’s former clubs include Hull FC, Huddersfield and Leeds – has never been afraid to tell it how it is. He said: “If you want passion and real opinions, you’re guaranteed those from me!

Radio News Hub, which broadcasts bulletins from purpose-built studios in Leeds, is now in its fourth year and has more than 150 client stations.

Director Jamie Fletcher said: “This is an exciting partnership as we continue to offer new content to our subscribing stations. The team at Forty20Live are experienced and know their stuff. 2019 promises to be an exciting Super League season – and we’re looking forward to following it with them”

The updates will be available from January on the eve of the new Super League season. Programmes specifically designed for Australian radio stations will also be produced.
