Children at risk because of falling school nurse numbers

​Children with conditions such as asthma, epilepsy and diabetes are being put at risk by falling school nurse numbers

That's in a warning made by the Royal College of Nursing.

According to NHS figures released last week, there are 550 fewer school nurses than in 2010, a fall of 19%.

The RCN claims that the cuts mean that children with long-term health conditions or disabilities may not be able to attend mainstream schools.
