Radio One Mallorca and Radio NewsHub are teaming up to provide a media school in the sun during summer 2017.
Based at Palma College in the capital of Mallorca – students will learn about every aspect of radio including sales, marketing, news and programming.
Those on the week long course will make their own adverts, produce their own marketing campaign and present their own hour long as live breakfast show.
Students will also be given a guided tour of the Radio One studios – located at the Wave House in Calvia.
Radio News Hub – who provide hourly news bulletins for the station – will also offer an insight into journalism during the course, with students writing and recording their own bulletins.
Richie Prior, Programme Director at Radio One, says: “We’re really excited about putting on this course. It’s open to both those living on the island and those who are planning a summer holiday here this year”
Places are limited and are priced at £150 per student.
Jamie Fletcher, director at Radio NewsHub said: “We’ve developed a really good relationship with Radio One Mallorca since first providing them with news bulletins. Having run similar courses previously in my career I’m really looking forward to getting involved”.
The course is open to anyone, including students who want to pursue career in radio, or just those who have always been fascinated about how the media works.
